So, a few days ago, audio guru Jamie Jordan and I started kicking around the idea of putting together some bonus content for the listeners. However, we couldn’t quite agree on what type of extras people would want most. Genious that I am, I figured that we’d let the audience decide, since it’s a present to them.
You have two choices (okay, technically three, but is nothing really a choice?). The first choice is to hear me interview one of the characters from the story (listener questions of course welcome, LOL). This will be fun and probably silly. The second is for me to interview a cast member as themselves, rather than in character, just so you can find out a little more about the uber-talented and completely awesome folks that lend their voices to The Dreamer’s Thread. Knowing a bit about some of the jokers in this cast, this may also be fun and probably silly.
This first poll will close on Wednesday, October 7th so I can announce the results in episode 9. A new poll will then go up with choices for the interviews based on the decision from the first poll. When I announce that result, I will then call for questions from anyone and everyone who wishes to submit them. So this should be something you should think about when you vote on this first poll. If it’s a character you’d like interviewed, what sort of questions would you ask them? What’s Mory’s favorite type of cheese? Do wizards sleep with their eyes open? Do mercenaries name their weapons? Silly or serious, all questions will be considered. Unless it’s a spoiler. Wouldn’t want to ruin it for anyone. Same goes for cast interviews. With a little begging and pleading from me, and maybe the promise of one of my kidneys, I will do my best to get an interview from anyone on the cast list. Some might be easier than others because of their schedules, but I will bring them to you if I have to throw myself in front of their car on their way home from work. With luck, they will feel guilty for running me over and submit to my (and your) questions.
In the meantime, you can look forward to a gag reel sometime in the near future as well. You would not believe the amount of expletives a person uses during a single recording session.
Okay, well, if you’re a fellow podcaster you are probably very familiar with this phenomenon. It’s amazing how a simple sentence can trip you up and cause random bouts of cursing. That will go up as soon as the audio guru can find time between all my other demands for perfection (can you say podiobooks.com? Picky? Me? Never.).
